Lagom magazine

For my Art Foundation final major project, I investigated how a country's cultural style influences mainstream fashion through content in campaigns, products and publications. I Explored the ever lasting simplicity of minimalism within fashion and how many brands constantly revive this style to make it a continuous foundation for personality.

The focal point was to create a Scandinavian-themed magazine that has Oslo, Norway at the heart. This project physically took me to visit Oslo, to gain initial research and inspiration. There, I also composed street-style photography and filmed interviews with small businesses and locals.

Each photoshoot for the magazine related to and was influenced by my findings in Oslo. Incorporating culture, style, shapes, and scenery.

The 12-week project was recorded through a research journal, self-reflecting journal, and evaluation. All of which lead to a final exhibition that showcased my final magazine, digital communications book, and promotional material.

I achieved a distinction for this project and a special award for all of my hard work.
